I can't comment on a Urea mixture percentage, but if your client seems adamant about using liquid urea, he must be concerned with corrosion. Another liquid you can use that is far superior to urea, (lower melt temp, better anti-corrosion properties etc) I would suggest Gen 3 Runway De-icer. It's was actually made for runways and made to AMS specifications. You can find more info at www.basicsolutions.com .
Please anyone that wants to please feel free to shoot me an email to webb1210@yahoo.com.
Thanks for the info Brian and Doug! Very helpful, Brian I will email you for the log in info.
We have been pre-treating our lots for years with treated salt. I did some comparison to treated salt and Liquid at the time about 1 1/2 years ago it was more expensive to treat with liquid than it was to use treated salt.

What I took away from Connie's presentation was basically this, If we as an industry do not reduce the amount of salt that we use then the government is going to do it for us. We all know how well the government runs things. I do not think that she was pushing for us to use the numbers that she was giving. It is more about how and where can we reduce the amount of salt that we are using.

Anyone have any thoughts on Connie Fortin's class? In particular her estimates for material usage.

Dultmeier is a great source for pumps, fittings, etc if you are interested in building your own system.

Does anyone have any information or a source for finding what nozzles, psi, hose diameter should be used on a liquid tank that will have the dual duties of pre-wetting salt and directly applying liquid to driving surfaces?
